i'm dealing with a rebuilt Carter YF that wont let the car idle below 1000 rpms smoothly. it cracks and pops as well too, although its the carb doing it and not the ignition or valvetrain causing it.

anyone with an old bomb still run these 235's and can lend some helpful hints? I am rebuilding 3 rochester Bs for use on the Offenhauser 3x1 intake thats on the engine now. with a progressive linkage it should be much nicer.

another thing.... i need the vacuum hose routing for the wipers... my pump says " inlet" and its going to the wipers. i think this is opposite and the inlet side needs to go to the manifold for vacuum.... maybe this is causing my idle issues as well??
