When riding normally, the trucks oil pressure runs about 60...This morning the oil pressure is running closer to 80

what are some common causes of increased oil pressure and will this affect anything or need to be concerned with??

Colder oil is thicker so it will run a higher pressure. I bet by the time the truck warmed up, it was near normal ;)

Also, since thicker oil increases oil pressure, if the cap says 5W30 and you started putting 10w30 you would notice the cold oil pressure increase right away.

this is true  my daily goes to 60 pounds in the morning but once its warmed up it goes from 20 at idle to 45 or so at cruising RPM.
