P.O.S Ford truck

I got a brand spankin new 2004 ford ranger work truck, with less than 3k miles. Don 't you know that mothufucka barely starts up in the morning. Once it took me 25min. to get it started, with starting fluid :uh: :uh:
What kind of bullshit is that?

hell yeah i just throw a cd player in my moms contour like two days ago, and they have those four lil holes where you put the tools for the ford in and was like i aint payin 8 bucks to get these wimpy lil pieces of metal that i'm going to use once i'll just wing it. so an hour and a half later i just said fuck it and got some screw drivers and that eventually did the trick after fuckin some of the plastic dash up, they dont want people to steal the factory its probably worth 3.50 at a pawn shop

Sounds like something is loose, like a sensor or bad wiring. And hey its a new car, they all suck ass. Anything that has smog I will not buy. Its not just FORD, its them all. I could tell alot of shit I have been through on other makes, but it was my personal experience and its not true for all. And I have owned just about every major car name. Pre smog of course (73 and back). Should have spent the money on a oldie and put new style goodies in her.

a long time ago when we would aquire ford cd players we would shove nails in those four lil holes and then push in and push out away from the face plate , it works

i had tha same fukkin prob. wit a tempo. i had a screw driver wit a bent tip and waz pullin a corner out at a time but one corner waz always goin bak in so i kept tryin different shit and then tha thing ur suposed to hold wit tha u-bars broke so i waz like fuk it and just ripped tha deck apart and it still took half a day to take it out :angry:

Use a coat hanger to take the deck out.....cut a piece off a metal one, bend it in a U shape. Thats what I did for my moms Contour, worked great.

I was wondering the same damn thing!Maybe spraying it in the air cleaner snorkel would work, but that coulod also be why it took 25 min. to start :0

Starter fluid probally had 0 effect, I sprayed it in the TBI.
I used to have a 83 chevy caviler that was fuel injected, and I used starter fluid all the time, just sprayed it into the air/cleaner/intake
Fuck Ford!!! I'm sending all of these trucks back to the dealership.
I just bought a 93 chevy work van w/ a 350

for the time being

ford radios are the easy as fuck to pull, with the right tools, just need a ford stereo puller, two U shaped pieces, push them in and the radio locks onto them and it pulls right out, takes 2 seconds, with the right tools

and not all fords suck homie!!! all of mine have been good to me :biggrin:

Those are the easiest ones to pull out. All you need is 2 pieces of a metal coat hanger bent in the shape of a "U" & stick them in the little holes on each side of radio & pull them apart from eachother while sliding the radio out.

Don't even have to remove any trim
