I bought a smaller car and I decided to take all the emblem's off and other sticker's on it, now there's only 4 dent's on the car and I don't want the stock paint on there should I sand down to metal or the primer until the whole car is smooth and the dent's are out?.

Take care of the dents first, by sanding them down to metal, and doing the body work......then highbuild primer just over the repairs.....Block sand the hibuild with 80 grit.....now block sand the whole car with 220, primer, block sand with 400/600 and you are ready for paint
