Im thinking about painting the outer lip of the rim myself...Any body ever did this on their own or have any suggestions?

sand blast the part your painting or sand it down and spray it with etching primer and you shouldnt have any problems

I was told to spray them with Bulldog adhesion promoter before painting. Have not done mine yet though so I don't know how well it works.

That paint job is bad ass on that ride! I wish I knew the right methods to get big flakes to lay right like that! :biggrin:

Look up the ALSA Corporation for their line of paint designed to spray directly over chrome ............

what paint did you use, i want to do mine the same way but in black, yours turned out good :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
