I know the usual tactic of spray a test panel and see. But for a rough idea when you see a car HEAVILY pearled how much are they putting on the car? I believe on a darker color pearl shows up more prodominant and that might be my problem. I'm putting HOK green pearl over white and and want to know if I can actually get it to almost look green with just pearl. Is it about more coats of pearl or is it just load up the intercoat as much as possible? Can I get that affect in 3-4 coats of intercoat?
I did the bottoms of the hood and trunk and you can see the pearl close up and it looks really nice but it doesn't grab your eye from a few feet back or anything.
