It's an epoxy with it's own hardener, don't recall being able to use other catalysts.
It's an epoxy with it's own hardener, don't recall being able to use other catalysts.I have 2 gallons of PPG DP50 primer but PPG discontinued it now so now I can't buy a hardner for it
If anyone has used this before what other catalysts could I use with it?
I'm sure someone on here has used a different cataylst with it.
It's an epoxy, had it's own hardener,bad-ass product wished they still sold it.
thanks for the help I have never used this DP50 before but heard good things about it
Nothing compared IMO,you could use filler over top of it,prime over top of it,or use as a sealer, and it stayed"open"for 7 days.that's what I was afraid of I do not want to throw it away maybe some day I'll experiment with it but back in the day this stuff was awesome.....
Get ahold of Matrix, they may have a catalyst that will crosslink with it.The guy that started that company use to be a chemist for PPG.contact ppg and see what they say :dunno: Something has to be compatible with it
called PPG and the lady told me there's nothing that will work with itGet ahold of Matrix, they may have a catalyst that will crosslink with it.The guy that started that company use to be a chemist for PPG.
Junk it,even though that haven't been opened the solids will settle like sediment and when shaken all you will end up with is some cottage cheese look in shit.called PPG and the lady told me there's nothing that will work with it
just called matrix and they said MAV-420 catalyst would work but he said the primer might not be any good because it's old.... The cans have never been opened though...
Nah,I've had dp sealer kicking around for years, threw it on the shaker for a few minutes, and it was good to go.Junk it,even though that haven't been opened the solids will settle like sediment and when shaken all you will end up with is some cottage cheese look in shit.
