me i run a manual i had a pressure switch before and i fuckin hate it because every damn time you hit a switch the compressor comes on ...........i just like to run it whenever i feel like hearin the "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" sound

I like manual switches also. Maybe you could modify a pressure switch so that it only will turn off the comp at a set psi but not turn it on and use a manual for that. That way you dont havto worry about over pressurizing your system when your not lookin.

do any of u have problems wit preasure switches not turning off. i saw a pic posted here of a tank blown because of a broke preasure switch. how often does this happen and is there a w ay to keep it from happenin?

well, theres no way to keep a switch from sticking..
if it wants to stick, its gonna stick...

BUT




if you use a pop off valve, it will keep the tank from exploding if the pressure gets too high.. you'd be an idiot not to use one IMO..
