will a full stack fit in a gbody or do they need to be cut down (how many turn?)
You have to cut alot, they are longer than a 4.5 ton, a 3.5 ton is also longer than a 4.5 ton. There isn't any reason to put a 5 ton in a g-body.Originally posted by SINGLEPUMPCHUMP@Nov 1 2007, 08:46 PM~9134849

4 1/2 if u got a v-8 and 3 1/2 if u got a v6 .............depends on how the cars built! i use 3 and 3 1/2 tons in v8 v6 single and 4 ton in v6 v8 doubles!Originally posted by KINGFISH_CUSTOMS@Nov 1 2007, 11:48 PM~9136784
ive put a 5 ton coil in my regal before with only a 1/4 turn off of it. i was sqausing out my 4 1/2 relatively fast so i tried to move up to the 5 ton. they work but with a single pump i dont feel theres enough pump pressure to compress them like you would if u had a double pump setup. i just went back to a full stack precompressed MBQ's 4 1/2 with a mini coil inside of them. but in the end its a trial and error process when trying to find the right coil to work in ur car. rule of thumb is what68niou1 said. 4 1/2 if u got a v-8 and 3 1/2 if u got a v6
