Im wouldnt be looking for outrageous spl bass with them. I listen to hard core metal alot and I think my 5th order (I think) bandpass sounds like crap when you start hitting double bass. Could they be close to a pair of 10's seald?

Fast and tight, no loud and boomy
That's completely incorrect...
The fact that it is an 8" sub does NOT mean it is "fast and tight, not loud and boomy"...
Most all of the sound characteristics of how they will sound is going to be in the enclosure design...

You could make them slow and sloppy, loud and boomy, with the box designed a particular way...

Oh yeah, you can find WAY better 8" subs WAY cheaper than those Audiobahn subs...
Unless you are wanting the chrome, in that case, may the force be with you...

The question was: What type of Bass would I get, in a proper enclosure, a 8" sub is not going to be Boomy, just past its Physical limitations, and that is for the subs that he has pictured, that is the topic, no need to talk about other subs that would sound better. :dunno:

proper enclosure is pretty ambiguous. Whether wants loud boomy bass or tight punchy bass, there is a proper way to make an enclosure for each. ;)

Well that was what I was getting at, but what else is known is that a 8" sub does not have the Physical Properties of lets say a 12" sub. So most of what is gonna sound good with a 8" subs is gonna be Tight Punchy Bass.

So what would be your suggestion? On ebay I can get 2 for 100.00 shipped to me. I dont care what they really look like. I have a pair of 10's from audiobahn and Im satisfied with them so I thought I would look at their other stuff. Its also hard to find some 8's that play down in frequency to 20hz.
