J/K Homie. I didn't know or care what type of jet that was.
I used to live in ATL.- College Park, off of Riverdale Rd. I was in a lowrider car club out of Maretta called Latin Low C.C. We had some quality rides, some radicals, etc... but the lowrider scene in ATL. is on the low side. Not many out on the streets, nor is there many lowrider car shows. I remember we had one back in '99 I believe. It was an LRM show. The entries were desent but I guess the turn out just wasn't enough b/c GoLo hasn't been back since.
Then theres NOPI. There used to be a good turn out of lowriders for that but now the ricers have took that over. So that leaves you with, if you wanna go to a good show, you're gonna have to travel a good distance, like Indy, Tampa, or Miami.
I want to move back to the ATL. b/c I love it there but the lack of the lowrider scene has turned me off. So, I decided to move west, to TX. Thats about the farthest east the lowrider scene really goes thats jumpin'.
However, you can still catch me up in The Blue Flame or Nikki's every now in then.

NOPI '97 was the 1st NOPI I ever went to & it kicked ass. '98 was good to, '99 was a little weaker, and then on..... down hill.
I went this past year, '04, it was an ok show, but not for lowriders. Out of 7000 cars on display, I say maybe...maybe...30 were real lowriders. Like impalas, Town Cars, Cuttys, Lacs, etc... The guy, I think hes' from Jersey, w/ the red radical Cutty w/ the blower sticking thru the hood & all the engraving by Hernan, came down. It was beautiful! That was my favorite car of the show. In my opition, he should have got best of show, but of coarse some hi-tech ricer got it...
Then there were some "half-lowriders", like my Expedition & a shit load of mini-trucks, which all look the same...
My old club- Latin Low, we used to make a big effort to make NOPI. Now, my old Homies don't even put that bitch on the show calendar.
I wish you the best of luck on gettin it poppin' in the ATL. God knows I wish it'd pop off in the South like it is in the West. Maybe I wouldn't move then...

P.S. To whoever is running the blocks, get rid of them bitches before they burn your car down. We need all the lowriders we can get in the South before you go burning yours to the ground.
I know they look cleaner & more convienant but their dangerous homie. Just tryin' to look out...

Hell yeah. Tell Ben, Dre- he used to call me "2Pac's Cousin" even though I'm white, said whats up & and I hope everything is still going well for him, his family, & his remodeling business. I really miss those guys.
When I was there, we were in the middle of a fall out within the club. It pretty much split 50/50 over some bullshit. Half remained Latin Low, the other half started Empire C.C. (Jorge) All of which I hated to see b/c alot of the guys I liked, left & went w/ Jorge. However, Ben was my friend & a guy I really looked up to, so I was standing by him on whatever he decided to do. He taught me alot of what I know now about lowriding. Hes a great guy.
I miss him, Silvia, Yogi, Henry, Joe Salazar, Jorge, Rosa, Manny, Tracy & everyone else.
Be sure to tell Ben I said hello.
I'll tell him tonight i'll see him at a meeting :) & yes his biz is doing very well :)
