i am looking to repaint my car this winter, but the problem is that there is between three to five paint jobs all piled up on my car... we're talking alot of paint. what is the best way to strip this all off? the body is straight and only has a little rust by the wheels. ive been told many things like sandblasting (i also heard never sandblast exterior panels) is this expensive? what about media blasting? $$$ ? i really dont want to sand it all off because like i said the paint is crazy thick. anything will help... thanx

do not blast it, only thing you are going to do is get more dent. air craft stripper goes on, then the paint comes off no problem. also sand up in everything sux.

never dealt with media or bead, if you can get it done cheap or free, good incentive.

the only problme with blasting (bead or sand) is the beads litterly pound the shit out of your body, i would go with aircraft stripper, it isnt that messy, just dont pour a gallon on at a time

i've never tried galss beads personally, but it still has the same concept as sand blasting, and body panles dont stay very straight when a stream of sand is being blasted at it at 150psi, beads might be different but i still dont see how they wouldnt dent the panel all to hell
