Here's my buddy cutting out some brackets for the brakes and such. The scooter came with 12in wheels but he wants 16s on there so we had to do some modifying. We also bent up where the back wheel goes so it would sit lower.
Scooter Build-up
OK this scooter isnt mine, its my friend's who lives down the block from me. We did a bike together before, nothing too special but we had fun with it. Im kinda teaching him everything I know about the art of building show quality bikes so Im letting him handle this himself. Last time i did most of the work and he watched but now he's doing the whole frame from cutting to bending to welding and grinding, bondo, etc. Im not taking any credit for this, im just posting his project.
Anyways, he showed up at my house the other day with this scooter frame so i decided to snap some pics along the way. The whole underside of the frame is wrapped now but my camera was full so i couldnt take anymore pics. I'll have a bunch more shots this weekend. Enjoy :biggrin:

Heres just a quick shot of where we put the bends in the back. When he finishes the frame Im gonna be painting yellow and candy red with lots of flakes and pearls and such. Im also gonna be doing the upholstery. When this is finished he plans to attempt to join FK and i dont think he will have too much of a problem. The scooter will be in miami in january and will be attempting 1st place special interest. Thats all for now, stay tuned! :biggrin:
