here's a bunch of FAQ's

Q: Where's the best place to stay?
A: Depending on your budget - there are a ton of hotels 15 minutes away in the Niagara Falls, Ontario area...from baller to broke...hit to browse. The 2 closest spots are:

Days Inn - Prudhommes Landing (1.5 miles from show)
3305 North Service Rd, Vineland 905-562-4101

Best Western - Beacon Harbourside (1 mile from show)

we all stay at the Days Inn cause its got a huge parking lot...and a bar

Q: Do I need a passport to get into Canada?
A: Nope, just picture ID and birth certificate

Q: What time should I get there to enter my car?
A: Roll in starts at 8am and closes at 11am...the earlier you get there, the better spot you'll get (lakeside + beach spots fill up 1st)...clubs - make sure you get there EARLY in order to park together. We recommend pre-registering.

Q: How do I pre-register?
A: You can go on the site and fill out the form and pay instantly using paypal. Or you can d-load the printable form and mail it to the address at the bottom and include a check or money order.

Q: Why bother pre-registering?
A: We are limited by space to 500 cars...last year we sold out. By pre-registering you save $10, move in using the dedicated pre-reg entrance (avoiding the regular 1/2 hour + line up) and GUARANTEE a spot in the show

more FAQ's from my PM's...

Q: How much are bikes to enter?
A: $10

Q: How does the hop $$ break down?
A: DP - $500
SP - $300
Luxury - $200 (SP or DP)
Truck - $200
Dance - $200

Q: What are the hop rules?
A: "All entrants will be tech'd by Scrape by the Lake staff, and must be driven into pit under its OWN power. All vehicles must hop on 13 or 14 inch wheels. Batteries (max 16) must have proper disconnect/kill switch and secure tie-downs. Only switch man plus trunk man allowed in pit. Once your hop starts, you will be allowed 60 seconds to hit your highest mark. Any cheating (ie sand, lead, pushing on trunk, etc) will result in disqualification from event."

Q: I have a DP caddy - can I enter DP too?
A: All cars hop in SP or DP...we then take the highest luxury hop from either class and award them the Luxury $$ if your lac hits the highest in DP, you'll win $500 DP + $200 Luxury = $700

Q: Can I park on the Service Rd outside the park?
A: No - you will be ticketed and towed by the cops...parking is free inside the park
