Aight, ive been in and out of forums, namely here about my shitted transmission on my 85 regal (200c)

a little bit of history background..
this is the third rebuilt trans in this car.

Aight, since late christmas, my car wouldnt change into 1st or 2nd properly. The car would whine and be revved soo high before upshifting, that at times i thought my engine was gonna blow on the spot. I'm talking, changing into 2nd at 25mph, and 3rd into 55mph. And not downshifting like it should either. I'm talking loud clanks, too hard shifting, late shifting, etc..

Now all of a sudden i get off of work, get in the car, drive down the street like normal and the damn car is changing gears like i just put a new tranny in. WTF! WTF?!?!

Can someone clearly explain this to me?

This isnt the first time this has happened.
I had abused it once, and the trans would shift gears properly, but it eventually fixed itself. How? I do NOT KNOW.

I havent done a thing to it yet, i was planning for a trans/engine tune up this weekend. But for all i know i could get up tommmorrow, drive down the street and it not change gears at all.

Any idea?

I belive the tranny is electronicly controlled could have somthing to do with your computer or bad wiring?? have it looked at by a tranny shop before you need a 4th tranny LOL
That shit happened to my 85 caprice i don't remember what the piece is called that was sticking but to get it unstuck until i fixed it i
stomped on the gas pedal real hard a couple times and it would shift normal
might be the throttle valve cable it tells the tranny when to shift, or somethin coulda been clogged in the tranny and iot worked it self loose
good rule of thumb add lucas tranny coating! you can get it at auto zone for 8 or 10 bucks, it's well worth it. none of my cars go without it. ;)

and as for your tranny question....it sounds like a wiring problem, or maybe a a bad relay. check the relay first, easiest to get to and cheapest to replace. ;)
my dad said they where junk....sorry. if i where you i would get a 200-4r its and over driver version of your tranny
yea, but i aint got the time or money right now to swap, although id love to.

oh yea, the tranny is back to being a little bitch changing gears horribly. I enjoyed that little moment while it lasted though.

wheres the relay located?

sometimes if someone has used silicon to seal the pan gasket, a peice of that could be playing around in some valves or something, which could posibly do it.
that might not be the problem. but it could be a posibility.
