You may be able to chirp with the B&M Shift Improver, you SHOULD be able to spin 2nd and chirp 3rd with the B&M Transpak. Of course, this all depends on rim/tire selection, vehicle weight, etc.

With the Shift Improver, you wil get firmer shifts, but not real harsh. You will still be able to drive in "auto-mode" (3rd/D), while 1st and 2nd will be just that.

With the Transpak, you will be able to up/downshift at any rpm. You will still have "auto mode" (3rd/D), and will still have 1 & 2 manual. The shift with the transpak is much firmer, and if you have the HP/TQ to back it up, you should be chirping 2nd minimum..

Transpak part number is 30228

Shift kit is 30262

Make sure you have a th350 and not a th350c (lockup version)

Both kits are available for the TH350c, but IIRC, will not interchange

Easy way to tell if you have a TH350c is a 4 prong electrical plug on the driver side of the case.

Not a bad tip/hint, but there is more to the Transpak than that.. However, this is what people have been doing for a while (homemade shift kit). There are a few other mods if you're looking to go the "homemade" route. IMO, for someone that hasn't pulled many transmissions apart, the Transpak or Shift Improver are well worth the money.

x2, If you're planning on staying on spokes, just go with the Shift Improver..... Those gears will put you in your seat, all a shift kit will do is keep you there when the trans shifts...
