I've lurked around and couldn't find an answer for my question. I have 12v motors, solenoids and dumps. Everywhere I looked on a LiL it says that you need to run at least two batteries on these and send 24v to the switches (so it means dumps and solenoids) and to the pump motor. My question is: what will happen if I run only one battery per pump and just use 12v on switches and to the pump motor? In the end of the day it does says 12v on all of them. Is there any flaws in the way I'm thinking? Ed: I have a midsize and it's pretty light. I don't need hydraulics to work to fast. tried to spin motors directly form battery and was satisfied with speed.

I am always disappointed with answers such as those. That's like saying life-gate trucks can only use 24VDC. I used to hop 4" on 12VDC, way before anything was pressurized. Are you going to run more than 1 pump to the front? You can find 12 VDC dumps.

Value manufactures make them in all kinds a voltages, someday post your setup, please. You'll get good action with the right motor. The coils also matter, but the motor in IMO the best way to go.

I have chrome delta dumps from standart Hoppos 2-pump-fbss kit. What will happen, if I send 12v to the switches, not 24v, like all diagrams say?

24v have a snapper action. There is no need for this on 12VDC liftgate trucks. I have used 12 v in the past with one battery in the trunk, at this very minute I can't think of any issues. #8 gears and a high speed/torque worked better than expected and like I have said a 100 times, I could hop on just 12v if the dumps are not rated for 12 v, I IMO would not waste my time, But I am thinking you could somehow wire in your cars battery and I am thinking you could order the 12VDC solenoids for the dumps. I bought a mess of solenoids from ebay, and I believe these will work on most Delta style dump bodies

what you could do and I have one as a tester, get three 9vdc batteries have it in series ? I forget whats it's called, but it's positive to neg to positive, etc wired it in to make 27 VDC. I have a pic somewhere on www.hydros.biz I am using the three 9v batteries and testing dump valves. I think you will need a 6 prong switch

you want to use the pressure hose or pressure fittings any where on the set up that is pressurized, I'd run my dump to the front and another hose to the return on the block or tank. but i tested it and there where too many bubbles in the fluid.
