Sirius hands down. I used to have XM & liked it. Plus its the original.
My wife had Sirius. I used her car a few times & now I have Sirius.
To me, Sirius has more actual music stations. Plus theres more varity of hip-hop & R&B stations on Sirius.

I think the whole point of Satelite Radio was to not have Radio Stations

The point of sattellite radio was to have crystal clear reception of the same programming almost anywhere in the US.

Yes, plus you have a variety of choices far greater than that of regular radio, larger bandwidth, if you will. Rather than having only one cheesy rap station in your local area, one sports station, a classic rock and a metal station, etc., you can have as many specified stations as you want. You could have a station that is only a specific sports team or music group, all day every day. ;)

I have to agree. I have both at work since I do testing on them and as far as Rap/hip hop Sirius wins. Don't get me wrong, they are both great compared to new crap but I usually on listen to one XM station and at least 2 of the Sirius ones. In reality, I bounce back and forth all day unless i'm doing specific testing.

XM only has
65-The Rhyme (older lyrical rap (late 80s, early 90s stuff)
66-RAW (Uncut, uncensored new/some old Rap.)-the only real good station
67-The City (typical radio station crap, censored usually)

Sirius has
40-Hip Hop (similar to RAW, uncensored new/some old Rap)
42-Wax (Remixes, etc newer stuff usually)
43-Back Spin (similar to The Rhyme, old lyrical rap)
45-Shade 45 (Eminem's uncensored rap station, plays mostly new stuff not just eminem/detroit stuff)

No, the point is to have non-commercialized and uncensored stations.

This is what I was talking about, actual music stations, which Sirius has. They have actual radio stations from LA, NY, all over. Satelite radio was an option for people that did not want all the radio, sponsor talk, and the rest of that Yap Yap Yap on the radio. That is what they promoted when they first hit the screen. There advertisements even went like that "tired of the same ole talk on your local radio stations, switch to Satelite radio, and get that idiot out of your radio station"

I used to love the slogan.
