I have a KIcker Solo L5 one of my friends hooked the ground and the postitive up wrong and it smoked its ass off. I pulled the sub out of the box and it was warm. It still plays good. could it be blowed, Itrs under warrenty with kicker, just wondering if I should send it back.

man if you are serious about audio like I am you wont let this slide. just take it back to the store provided that you have the receipt and tell them that something is wrong with it. And get another one.

subs get warm, actually under certain circumstances they can get very hot and still be ok, if it smokes that is a sign your running to much power, its a DVC sub, so you need to pay attention to what ohm you want it to run at, you could be feeding it too much power or just playing it for way to long and not giving it a chance to catch up and cool down...and its "blown" not "blowed"

Take it back.....any electronic item that smokes once and styll works is never 100%......
