I have a 65 impala ss rag and a 71 eldorado rag. need to remove paint for both.

thinking of soda blasting. figure for the 1k they are gonna want on the east coast to blast each, I can buy a slower setup and do it my self for $800.

thinking of the harbor freight soda blaster and the home depot 60 gallon 11.5cfm at 90 psi compressor


this sound like a decent setup to do this job? figure when I am done I sould be able to sell both for half what I paid.

have it done professionally , you'll spend more but you won't regret it

If you don't remove all the soda residue, you'll regret it when the paint fails.

id use wallnuts or fine sand. number 3 grade is what i used last. less mess. i just don't like soda and it doesn't get rid of bondo or deep pitted rust that well.

If you know how to regulate pressures well and know what body panels to hit at what angle without warping and bending them then have at it.

also consider the mess it will make to clean up afterwards.
