Nice patterns on this 77 Monte
this guy was in LRB a few years ago: patterned diecast Porsche
This is another patterned one, clean 64
This one was neat, Regal dancing, with one wheel on the ground-the hydro wire is actually a wire hanger supporting the model.
I guess I'm hating, but this shit pissed me off. Fully plated detailed undercarriage, cut the hell up, 79 Monte-look where the door closes, he shoved the 70 Monte parts under there, interior and all and didn't even try to hide the interior chunk that stuck out when he cut the door. Same with the trunk, big ol' rear deck sticking out into the trunk. And the paint was shiny, but he had about a pound of clear on it, all the detail was being lost. The shit had sagged in a bunch of places too.
This was another one of his models, a lot nicer (bad pic, sorry) but the clear hood still had the tabs on it from when he cut it from the tree.
Now if he had been judged by modeling peers, they would have seen that shit, but since he was judged by a bunch of car judges that were in a hurry to go thru all the cars, he cleaned up. My stuff was clean, but all I had were curbsides with no engines or detailed trunks. That's alright tho, I'm going to come out big next year. I gotta finish this Bonney and 68 and super detail something, not sure what yet.
