I noticed today the front driver's side airbag is not locking up as high as the passenger's front airbag on my 61?

What could be the problem?

I will not have time to get underneath the ride until probably next week and diagnose the problamo, just wondering if it could be my upper bag bracket?Dont know if it could have in someway shifted or something? Also I think it could be my front stabilizers may be uneven?

The car seems to be laying unevenly aswell.huh. :uh: The 61 seems to be driving and running smoothly other than this.Any help here would be great. :0 :)

bottom bracket may have collapsed if you have a plate on the bottom a-arm thats wat happened to both sides of mine eventually because of my shitty first install and i needed to buy 2 more bags so id get at it to make sure its not rubbing on anything as quick as possible

Both bottom brackets are in place. No signs of trouble there. My bottom plates actually sit on top of the lower control arms.

I am wondering if it is the top air bag bracket.Possibly shifting and causing not to lock up.The front goes up a good amount of distance still,it is about 1" to a 1 1/2" off from locking up.

I also noticed when I dump the front end once the car is on the crossmember the driver's front bag is outta air and the passenger's side bag still has more air to let out.Once I dump the air outta the passenger's side the car feels very akward. Also noticing it is not level.I am confused now. :uh:  :dunno: :ugh:

are your upper brackets just sitting in the spring pocket, and not mechanically attached to anything??

need to jack the front of that 61 up and take a good look at whats going on under there... hopefully you didnt bend the upper spring pocket...

Sean......I know the best solution for this problem......

1. Get the car up on 4 jackstands
2. Rip out the whole airbag setup

3. Install a new 4 pump 8 battery hydraulic setup

4. SWING THAT BITCH !!!!!!!!

they are cut at 45degree angles or 47degree I forget and they have a long piece of threaded stainless in the center that runs through were the old shock mounts were. They are tighten down by a NYLOC.

45 degrees is too much angle cut for the upper bracket. I could see the threaded rod bending easily and shifting the bracket.

if you get right up in there and look 30 degrees is more like.

Well Skandalouz,

I bought the Upper Brackets and lower Brackets from Air-Ride Technologies 3 years ago.I was hypothetically speaking.

You might be right with the Threaded rod about bending.I will find out next wednesday hopefully. ;)
