Just do it right the 1st time homie...I remember reading somewhere that
the foam shit makes the metal warp when it expands and its a bitch to get off.
yea i heard about that too. makes sense, that foam gets hard as hell when it's cured up. and i think its fuckin impossible to get it all off if you had to remove it.

you can use the foam, be careful!

most fools fill up the space and plug off all the holes!!

dont do either of those, if its triple expanding foam, only fill up 1/3 to 1/2 of the space and dont plug off the holes. depending on the car, that stuff is ugly as hell if visible though. Honestly if you cant find a good way to keep from making a mess, i wouldnt use it in that area (trunk lid), cuz its nearly impossible to clean up.

it has its place in other areas though

i agree with andrewh, use the foam and the dynamat and just be really carefull when you spray the foam, i have done it to multiple cars and it works great just have to take your time with it, and dont worry about the foam you can see from the trunk lid because once you cut off the leftover stuff the mat willl cover it up

i suggest staying away from the foam. i beleive it becomes toxic if it ever catches fire. a layer or two of some dynamat will get the job done. there are alternatives to dynamat. second skin makes quite a bit of deadening products. a common budget deadener is raamat.
