Hello there,

I have a 1985 cutalss with 48 volts and 3 pro hopper pumps. I also have 2 twelves and 6 sets of 6.5 speakers running of two amps. The proplem is when I hit the switches it makes a popping sound in the speakers. It also winds with the motor when it is running what is the proplem and how can I fix it...

Yep he's right, it screams "ground failure" or you have really crappy RCA cables along one of your power leads to your pumps that might induce noise. if you disconnect your head unit from your amps (remove the rca's from it) and you still get the noise, the problem is from the wiring back to the amp, or the amp has a crappy ground. If you pull your rca's out from the head unit, and no noise anymore, it was most likely your head unit has grounding and or RF noise problems.
