I am helping a friend upholster is door panels... anybody have any suggestons for stapling the hard plastic. We laid out some pad and then the fabric. However we cant get the staples to stay so it can be stretched and formed. Anybody?

thats some good glue there...if you cant get that you can get some dap top and trim adhesive......dont get that countertop glue, it isnt worth a shit......that stuff there tacks up alot faster than the dap....with the dap in hard form you gotta let both sides sit for like 10 minutes before applying or else it will come loose again

damn a gallon!!! does it come in smaller quanaties?

Are you using a manual or air stapler. Make sure your staples are going all the way thru the panel. There should be enough staple on the backside to allow you to take a screwdriver and fold them over. This will ensure they don't pull back thru.

i dont think you can get tacc in smaller quantities.......gallon is like 18 bucks or something.....you can get the dap top and trim in quarts i believe
