Since theres no sub forum for this question hopefully i can get some help here. I wanted to do a 2" drop an 85 regal but wasnt sure if there were certain springs that work best. I know eibach offers a 2" drop as well as OPGI offers a 2" and 3"....I plan on running air shocks in the rear. Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I dropped my Regal with some 2" drop springs. I can't remember the brand, but I believe I actually bought them from JC Whitney. :dunno: The price was right, the ride was smooth, and it looked great rolling on 13s.

Air shocks

You can use 2" Lowering spindles for a S-10 and not effect the ride Quality!

Why shouldn't I run air shocks out back? Someone mentioned I should.

So just s10 spindles with stock springs and 2" lowering springs in rear?

s10 front coils wil work perfectly.

really?

dont use drop spindles. you dont need them. they are a pain on small wheels unless you absolutely need them. they put your lower arm in the dirt.

for 2 inches you could use cut springs. maybe find a forum that will rcommend how much of a turn to cut off?

2" is not alot. find some springs or cut the ones you have.

there's no good reason to use spindles for a 2" drop.

people who talk about the ride quality changing are not using facts. a 2" drop would be cuttin a fraction of a turn off your coil. you would notice a bigger different going from a 175-75 tire to a 175-70.

The diameter of a 175/70R14 is 23.6"

The diameter of a 175/75R14 is 24.3".

The difference is only .7".

However, you are right - spindles are not needed for a 2" drop.

Like I said, just buy some 2" drop springs. They're cheap as shit.

Just not that common is all. Most people roll 7" wide wheels.
