aight, i had to swap..
imma try to remember..

disconnect battery

first use a steering wheel pull to take the steering wheel off, after youve removed the steering wheel cover, wires, etc..

i think i remember loosening somthing up under the hood where the steering shaft goes into the rubber sleeve..

OH yea, you need to disconnect the shift linkage under the hood next to the firewall, you'll see its a bracket coming off the shaft that has a rubber grommeted hole connecting to the shifter link going to the trans.. disconnect it, i forgot how it was easy though.

take off the lower dash panels to easy access..

theres like 3-4 bolts that hold the steering cover onto the firewall, locate em and take em out, just follow the shaft to the firewall and you'll spot em.. Might have to take off the firewall sound dampener rubber/cloth surrounding and covering the plate bolts

disconnect wire harness to the turn signal should be a long rectangle style connector, might be another connector somewhere to unconnect.

disconnect the shift indicator wire connected from the dash guage panel and under part of column, you'll see what im talkin about.. just pull it or slide it off with a screwdriver

unbolt the 2 bolts holding the column to the dash, if everything is disconnected, you should be able to just pull it out.. be careful, it can be tricky

while your at it, throw a steadfast column protection plate on it.. ;)

You dont need to take the steering wheel off. There's 2 bolts under the dash that hold the colum to the dash and then the linkage on the steering gearbox under the hood. Other then that, there's bolts on the firewall on the inside and your ignition switch (not lock cylinder) with wires on the top. Disconnect this after dropping it down with the 2 under dash bolts.
