Steering Pump gets Noisy after Hopping?

are you sure that its your steering pump ? cause it could also be your
water pump could give off a grinding sound too. i had that problem
with my nine eight olds, what happend was i had my dump valve wide open
an every time i slammed my car to the ground it bottom-ed out ,
an they told me that it was dropping to hard.

the power steering pump wouldn't give off a grinding sound , more of a whining sound.....


fords always had problems with the power steering pump whining....is it always full @ the full hot mark???

Yeah it is the steering pump. Because When I turn it Whines louder. It does go away after 3 mintues or so. Its just sounds rediculous. Thanks for the reply though.

yeah its full of fluid. I think I will get a new one and see if it changes.

drain the old fluid & put in "trans X" its a fluid for leaks & restores lubrication, for transmissions & power steering. most part stores carry it, its in a can like old school oil cans stuff works real god!

yeah my 94 TC whins a bit when turing

My 90 TC don't do that maybe cause is a 5.0 the only problem I get is when I hop all the fluid from the power steerin flys out thru the Breathin hole the cap has

Buy a $5 crome cap from Advnce... :biggrin: I got a AC noise now. Turn on the unit and it works fine with no noise. O well I am use to 4/65 anyway. I hate the ac. When it goes it goes. Been like that for 2yrs now tho.. :biggrin:

yea my 95 whines when turnin too. It use to go away now it does it all day long!
