Sub is smoking.

As I posted before, I just got a 1500 watt amp tp push my 12" kicker. Its not bridged or anything, but might have to much power to push the sub.
Q: Could to much power cause the sub to smoke?
Could the sub be blown? The sub still hits, just not as hard as it did when I first installed it. Smoke stinks too.

what would we do withuot you? :cheesy:
Yeah its da coil. Buy a new one and return the old one :cheesy: its what i did. They tested it and saw it still worked and I got no questions. Just make sure you let it air out completly before you return it. remove it from the box and give it just enough power to let it move alittle. That will let it breath so it wont smell like smoke when you return it.
