i just installed two 12" subs in the trunk of my 85 regal, they really bump but the problem is the rattle in the trunk that almost overtakes the bass. is there any solutions to dampen to rattle?

yes.

... I suppose you want to know. Then go to an audio forum.

First step, locate every location that is rattleing. Chances are, the sheet metal on the support frame from the trunk lid.the trunk floor itself, trim and liscence plate are all rattleing the most, and there are several different economic ways to fix it all.

wedging the trunk skin fron the frame ..siliconing inbetween them, new trunk seal

lizard skin sd (sound dampener)spray in kind liner kinda stuff ... you could always hide a piece of carpet foam behind the liecence plate ... does that have tha gas filler behind the plate?

tail lights could be rattling too ..

but then again we can see or hear whats all rattling can we?
