will a chevy 350 motor line up in a 77 caddy coupe with the tranny in it .i think it a 400 might not be sure on that. don't really want to change the tranny it newly rebuilt.is the 425 block the same as the 350
if the 425 has the same bolt pattern as the chevy 350 you wanna put in, YES. if its a cadillac 425, maybe. heres what the chevy 350 should look like, this is where the bell housing bolts to the engine.Originally posted by big_dog401@Aug 2 2005, 06:03 PM~3529545

some have dual bolt patterns
idk, is the 425 a big block? im assuming so, so if they are all cadillac engines and all big blocks, then in theory they should.Originally posted by big_dog401@Aug 9 2005, 07:41 PM~3572689
will what about the 475/500 block are they the same as the 425 block
so will aftermarket part for 475/500 fit on a 425 for ex. valve covers, intake manifoldOriginally posted by SolidGoldCaddy@Aug 9 2005, 07:15 PM~3573245

look at the bolt pattern on the valve covers...idk about intake manifold, check with edelbrock...see if the bolt pattern is the same, also check for port line-upOriginally posted by big_dog401@Aug 10 2005, 09:59 AM~3579520
