teflon tape sucks..

ask these guys how often they clean chunks of teflon tape out of checks and dumps..

we use pipe dope on industrial hydraulic system because of the same reason..

loctite makes really good pipe dope that doesnt dry up, and contains teflon..

thats the shit you want

Just like everything else in the world, if you use teflon tape correctly, you won't have any problems.

The blue one is the one to use (85 - 86) That's the best stuff you can ever use on hydraulic fittings. One drop at every fitting, make sure it gets on like 3-4 wraps and then tighten it up, wait for 12 hours and then you'll never have a leak, not a drop...

yes you can use telfon but make sure you start on the 4th thread or something. I bought some used pumps and there was pieces of telfon fuck everywhere, the pumphead, the checkvalves, the dumps, i had to clean everything. My personal preference goes to the liquid stuff, makes it look much more cleaner
