too much clearance between cam and rocker arm..could be warn cam lobe, bottom of lifter bellyed out, broke lifter spring or flattened push rod ends or warn rocker, find the one clickin and tighten it til it stops clickin and go an extra quarter to half a turn tight, that will stop it for a while but if somthing is warn it will come back after a while, occasoinly the nut will back itself off but it is rare, normally to perminently get rid of it you have to replace the cam and lifters but you can keep a temporary fix by tightening it like i explained

MAYBE a sticky lifter?

you might need to check your oil if you need oil add it..........

i would guess this noise would be a lifter though........

good luck
I would be willing to say the same things.......put your ears near the valve covers and see if the "tapping" is coming from there!
