i dont know alot about rims, or cars in general for that matter. Just wanted to ask what factors are involved with rims being compatable with any particular car. For instance, i couldnt go out and buy any car and put any wire on it, why not ? Also, are knock off conversions costly\complex ?

Im in australia so it looks like ill have to get wires shipped over from the states, i dont want to have dramas, just want to get it right the first time. Thanks to everyone for help

The most obvious is bolt pattern. 4 lugs or 5 or 6 etc

Next is offset. If the wheel is too wide, it wont fit.

Most wires will fit most domestic rear wheel drive cars & trucks with a 5 bolt pattern.

My wires have a "UNIVERSAL" 5 bolt pattern, so they will fit 99% of all 5 bolt rear wheel cars & trucks

hope this helps
