How do you test a factory radio. I am not sure if it is the speakers or the radio. Also, if it is the speakers, then what kind of kit do I need to add a cd player/amp/ hi's and low's. The car is a 64 impala. Please help

to add an amp to the factory you will need an RCA Adaptor. To add a Cd Player you will need an FM Modulator.

To test your factory speakers:

Place a piece of wire on the + and another on the - speaker terminals. Take a "9volt" small square battery and place the wires on the battery. If the speaker clicks, it is good.

To test fatroy speaker and factory speaker wires]/b]:

Do the same as above, only instead of placing the "9volt" battery near the speaker, you would do the test near the head unit.

Sorry if I confused you.
