Has anyone done this?? I heard that the 400 makes the motor work harder than a 350 turbo. Is this true? The reason is I have a 327 with powerglide and I want to update the tranny. 350 seems like a no brained but I got my hands on a fresh 400 with a shift kit for FREE! My uncle gave it to me! I know that the 400 is a tad bit longer bit from what I see I can just weld a plate on the tail end of the crossmember to accomadate the size difference. Please give me pros and cons and share your expertise with me! Thanks in advance!

dont think your cross member fits on a 400 either so its just not a in and out swap...i just put a 350 in my 64 and iam very dissapointed..still revs high as shit not much of a difference from the glide..
