I am currently redoing my air suspension setup for my car, (I used telfon tape).

HOwever; people have been telling me to use other things like putty dope, thread sealant..... etc..

In your opinion, what should I use?

i uaually use tape works fine just don't go past the first threeads or get tape into the end of the threads

the tape will fall off inside and get stuck in the valves and cause small leaks and missfireing valves sputtering and parting valves

tape should be fint though

none of mine did. I got them from off places though. I started to use wack ass teflon, but I'm starting to wonder if there's a #1 rated type.

same here, but I think the ones I got went bad. I opened one up and the tape was all warped, but then again it was a hot day but still.

Okay,

I tried Liquid telfon : '"Great White ..."

Didn't hold anything.

When using Telfon,
How much do you use?

I used a whole bunch.

for me, I wrapped it around 6 to 7 times. You don't need to use a whole bunch as joe stated that the teflon will get into the thread and be forced into the valves.

This may be common sense, but there is also a right way to put this teflon tape. Doing it in my mind, you need to roll the tape on clockwise, with the end of the nut which goes in the hole facing you. If not, when you thread the bolt in, it will tear up the tape.
