3/8" Craftsman would be most practical if you're only looking to buy one. It'll have a range of about 20-150 ft. lbs. which is perfect for most everything. I have both Snap-On and Craftsman and have never had a problem with either. spend some money on 1. dont buy cheap ones. snap-on is the best but costly for there all digital.
