I have an 01 excursion v-10 and pull my 64 in a 24' trailer and get 12-14 mpg but I am using the powerchips programmer.

if you can afford a dually you should get one is way more safer than any other truck i have a 05 gmc sierra 1500 and a 2003 f350 dually and towing an inclose trailer feel more safe with a dually with the sierra i have tow it too but go slower too.

i dont think its so much the fact that its a dually.. but that the f350 is a serious truck.. dually or not. a 350 can do a better job of pulling that a 1500 series. so if ur gonna compare that get urself a 3500 series dually and see which is better. lol.
im still lookin for somethin decent but keep finding nothin.. there are tonns of f250 and f350s for sale around but not much in the way of the 2500 with a diesel..

 I love it but the next truck I get will have to be a diesel-dually. I've never felt so much power behind the wheel of anything. I could pull the door off a safe with this truck.
