I am suppose to get a 78 or 79' Cutty today that has a 305 in it and the tranny is bad. As you know I have a 81' Cutty that I am parting out and the tranny is good. It has the 231 in it. I wanted to know if the tranny can be switched over to the 305 cause I know it will fit a 307. But those are all different kinds of motors. If anyone knows it would be great. ;)

I checked the vin # and the 231 is a Buick motor. I know that it will bolt up to my olds motor though.
it could have a universal bell housing. worth a try

I didn't end up getting that car. I am trying to work out a deal with him on this regal that he just got with a 350 bored out and lots of chrome. Its a sweet ass car. Anyways give me an offer on the tranny cause I will not need it now.
