On my way to buy some box tubing and angle iron to get started on my battery rack. What is the recommended standard for wall thickness of the metal.....1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16/, 3/8, 1/2 and so on.

Solid 2x2 box tubing,hit the edges with a flap wheel to round them off so they look hollow :biggrin:

i always use 2x3 angle cos i get it for free from work lol plus its heavier than 2x2 lol

Most of the set ups i have seen including mine is 2"x2"x1/4" square tubing for the bottom rack and 2"x2"x1/4" Angle for the battery and pump racks themselves.
