Just put clamps on it. It will go that low and you can drive it.

Do yourself a favor a put drop spindels I think bell tech
will make them for that car. I did a 87 monte ss in the
90's and fist I cut my springs and it slammed the car
like that but it rode like shit hit bumps so hard it
would crack the windsheild. Then I talk to this guy
that builds street rods about it and for about $500
he said I could get the same look and close to the
factory ride it will just be a little bouncy. Well worth
the money here is the items he installed.

Bell tech drop spindels
st lowering springs
st sway bar w/ poly bushing
billstein shocks not included in the price bought them on my own
had him put in since the car was apart

Shit that car handeled like a vette you could take a offramp
from the parkway at 60 with no body roll fun as hell
good luck spend the money it will be well worth it.

Man don't do the spring clamps you will regret it
the car will drive like crap do the spindels and use the stock
springs you can get that shit lowered 6in from factory
hight and it will be a nice ride. If you just do the springs
it puts you a-arms in a V you won't be able to align the
front wheels to sit right. And every bump will pound
the front so hard it will feal like you hit a curb.

Yup that's them and then you tweak the spring to get the
look you want on the lowering here is a site with some info
on springs sways and spindles the prices seem okay.
also check jc-whitney I think they might still sell it also.
Body drops look good if done right same look as hydros
but without the juice. As for shocks it depends on what you want to spend dosen't really matter you get what you pay for good luck.
