wetsand and buff

my lac has microflake in the clear and i took some fine sand paper and smoothed a small section then buffed it and the flake lookd excellent and the gloss does too is there ne thing wrong with doin this to the rest of my quarters and trunk lid ????????????

As long as the car has enough clear-coat on it Yes it will be fine. Just be careful not to burn through on the body lines and edges.
