cool. id rather spend more $$ on a bad ass charger than go cheap. $429 isnt that bad.

well it is a good charger I still have mine after about 7 years and it still is great and they didn't change the design either so if they didn't change it you know they have something good.

is there such thing as a trickle charger for a multi set up? you know like the 2 amp charger for the starting battery on a car that is sitting in the garage? the 2 amps wont over charge but slowly charges to full capacity.
i'm tryin to figure something easy to use, that i can put on and forget about

you mean this one??? ASSOCIATED 9410 12 VOLT
so you just connect the negative to the neative terminal at one end of the battery bank and the positive at the positive end of the battery bank and let it be. "set it and forget it" ???

hate to sound cheap, but think maybe i'll use my charger i use for the starting battery. every few days just do one at a time, its not my everyday car. but if i plan to do a bank of 5 batteries, how can anything mess up of i connect the positive on the positive of the battery at one end of the bank, and the negative of the battery on the other end of the bank and run it trickle at 2 amps. so they stay charged....please help me see the light...if i'm talking crazy with that idea
what about using a "Street Charger"? wouldnt that be easier?

Street Chargers suck. They can't keep up w/ a switch happy person, which most of us are.

I've heard both sides of the story but I found I'd never need one... I just let my car trickle charge all weekend on my charger and I'm good for the season here... The only time my batteries were going was went my old batteries were on their way out.
