If I was to take a manufactured pump to a machine shop and have them make everything just like that pump to spec and have them stamp my name on the side of it could I get sued as long as I wasn't selling them? :uh: :0 Does anyone know! I don't want to sell them I just want to do some thing differently, but want to be able to bolt the same heads and such up to it!

No, because making a "custom pump" is just that. If you are getting a block machined to your specs, thats just the same as getting a custom paint job.

And besides Homie Hydraulics makes them all the time in custom forms. And there is no patent on them.

I didn't think there would be a problem, but I heard all of the accumulated pump patent shit going back and forth and I thought about it! I want to make everything that I can custom to a certain level on my car and this was the one thing I didn't know what to do! Thanks Jason! ;)

i think its like the old saying, "you can swing your arm all you want until you hit someone".

nobody will probably care until you make a dent in their sales.
