What should I do?

I just took off my front hose (85 Monte) and noticed that it is scuffed up from being too close to the tail pipe. There isn't really no way around it due to my dual exhaust. Is there come kind of sleeve or material I can put over the hose so that it doesn't get too hot?

Re-route the hose, man.
move the hose
definately try to re-route, but napa does sell aluminum heat shielding, kinda like wire loom, its about $20 for 6 feet, use that if its still too close for comfort
reroute the hose but if u cant use a peice of pvc.....or run a peice of a larger hose over it with the metal heat sheild that kingkill mentioned over the top of that
Some hydraulic hoses are kevlar wrapped...they should be able to withstand the heat. In my early hydraulic days I used to use metal hose clamps and actually clamp my hose to the exhaust while running it under the car...of course, I don't do that anymore, but the heat never effected the hose nonetheless.

i would say re-route it and clamp it down
If your frmae isn't wrapped then you can run the hose inside the rails. If it is, then just run them along the rails. When you get to the rear of the frame where the subframe is (by the trailing arms) then just run the hoses against that. It shouldn't be anywhere close to the exhaust but, if it still is then just do what everyone else said and get the insulating tape or heat shield.
Thanx fellas. I think I'm gonna run it along the frame. Should I use zip ties to hold it in place? What should I do with the excess amount of hose if it is too long? Can I hide it somewhere like under the trunk?
hide the extra hose where ever it may fit all installs r diff..use your own judgement
move the hose, run along the frame ;)
