My car makes this squeaky noise when i'm drivin but when i push on the brakes it stops. It sounds like its comin from underneath. Any ideas? I know i need to go get it looked at, but i'd like to have some idea what it is first.

Yeah, replace your front brake pads, thats your indicator rubbing up against your rotor. Its a built in early warning that your pads are wearing thin. I'd to it before you start scratching your rotor and are stuck replacing them too. ;)
He's right.

rotors are really cheap, if it is the brakes, just replace the rotors too while your at it!
I have to say that is true depending on the make of the car. Most are around $25 a piece but, the ones for my Lincoln was $90 a piece.

them brake indicators should only make that kinda grinding sound when you step on the brakes....if that sound stops when you step on the brakes its not the brake pad indicator....its something else, can't say what it is tho cause i aint heard it
