JUST FOR THE HELL OF IT:

WHEN YOU TIGHTEN YOUR KNOCK-OFFS,
WHICH WAY ARE YOU TIGHTENING?
TO THE FRONT OF CAR OR REAR?

PEACE.

Tha alignment part I dont know my car's alignment is just fucked up but I still drive it. Knockoff's dont just fall off homie. U did something wrong. U either tightned them up tha wrong side (hit to tha rear is to tightn them up) or maybe ur shit was just fucked up to begin wit. Ive been rolling on mine for quite a while and nothing's happened so far. and I feel pretty safe on my 14's
OR YOU DIDN'T TIGHTEN THE LUGS ON THE ADAPTORS ENOUGH.
i broke the studs off off 4 diffrent car mostly my impalas but my problem was i got to lazy to keep checking the torque on my lugs to see if they kept tight the adapters would get a little play and bam would snap the studs
i was tighting towards the rear. i never checked my lugs to see if they loosened up cause i thought i torqued them down enough. but ya my parents are wantin me to get rid of the wires.

i lost a rim going 75 on the freeway. same thing. if u use a spacer its gonna happen just a fact of life. if u didnt use a spacer, then u just didnt check them or do them tight enough. thats the only reason
how much do you have to torquem to??
make sure the teeth on the rim lock into the ones on the adapter
well today i took my wheels off and check the adapters. the backs where okay but the other front that didnt fall off was about to fall off. i tried tightining one of the lugs and its broke off so i went and bought new lugs for the rest of the corners. all i know is now i feel alot more confident since i replaced the stuff and i got them pretty fuckin tight.
what did you touquem to???

yes, it puts too much pressure on the lugs themselves.
boy tell your parents that wires have nothing to do with it.

anyone who runs the roads I do the way I do for 6000 miles without even checkin ther wheels can tell you that if you torqued them in the correct pattern and the correct amount, didnt use crappy china stamped spacers that fall apart, put them adapters on the right side, and made sure your teeth meshed right you CANT have any problems.

if one of these things were done wrong, thats bad, but if 2 or more of them in combo happened, then yes, your wheel might have fallen off.

the adapter itself is no different than a stock wheel as far as the mounting etc goes, so it cant be any different. Its 40 year old parts that could be the problem.

Thats like spraying undercoating over your rusted floorpans and trying to sue the undercoating company when your floor fall through.
and I use spacers, just not the cheap ones that crack when the taper of your lug nut goes into em and make sure they have enuff surface behind the k/o adaptor.
same thing happend to me wit the bolts breaking off my right rear rim. mine broke off cause of a whole lot of 3wheelin.
