okay, u still didnt answer the question... are they DVC 4ohm, or DVC 2ohm???

they r DVC like i said on the topic starter, how do i know if they r 2 or 4 ohm?
i can't ask cuz i bought it from a friend of a friend who knows somebody...um...yea

but anyway, it's a 4 ohm plus 4 ohm DVC...that's what the website says about this speaker
if your talking about rockfordfosgates P 3002, that amp only produces 300wattsRMS x 1 @ 4ohms.

the power handling on just ONE of those subs is as followed:

1,000watts peakpower
500watts RMS

wire them in series to place a 4ohm load on the amp (bridge the amp):
(OPTION 2)

so the MAX you can offer each sub is 150watts RMS when they could handle 500wattsRMS... (i think you need a stronger amp)

a 2-channel amp that produces 800watts - 1000watts RMS bridged at 4ohms or a monoblock amp that produces 800watts-1000watts RMS @ 1ohm (you would be paying ALOT of money for a monoblock amp that can produce that range of wattage at 4ohms, so thats why i say 1ohm) will be exactly what you need to stretch those bitches peak to peak...

Careful with those speakers. They will not take even half of their rated RMS without distortion. I gave my brother a set for his lincoln it lasted for like two months. Blew them both with a 400x2 legacy amp.

Just a heads up.

well shit, then the rockford you got is suitable for the subs... that really sucks tho, how can they say it will handle 500watts each, when a legacy blew them up with what, 200watts RMS per sub?

im glad i didnt get stiffed like that...

i knew before i bought them they were about a 3 or 4 on a scale of 10. but you can't beat 50 bucks for the pair in a box. i do gotta question though. i blew my kicker kx300.2 on these speakers. i bridged them to only one of the voice coils and my amp fried. now only the protection light comes on. can anybody tell me what i did wrong?
