whats the proper way to remove the roof rack w/o damage??????
i see like some kind of adhesive, but o well

pls any inpunts are more than welcome before i begine chopping it up, thanks

Shit I know that hahaha how about mesure and mark 4 times...but what I'm really asking is what are the propeer ways to remove the roof rack from the roof and what do I use to glue it back?
And what tools are used to make the job easier

when i use to take them out ,they where all screws,on the old school 70s&80 models ,but i have had some that were spot welded & and guled,i used a hammer& chisle to carefully break spot welds& glue,back in the day i used to sell,em like hot cakes.

o, i just rembered lowrider mag did a how on this from cut to installation,im sure u can find on there site in archives,good luck homie.

I would cut out the sunroof hole that was made in the metal, then mark your roof with it, then cut it out. and just weld the new sheetmetal in so that the sunroof will work properly and seal like it should.

oh for sure, you will have to cut the supports in your existing roof to accept the sunroof but thats how mine is in my car from the factory.

be sure to cut at least a foot out all the way around the hole so that you can blend it in right

Well I guee all is left is to just go ahead and carefully take off the roof and take it from there...

But guys what glue or seal do u use for the exterior chrome piece?

best way is to flange the og roof fuck that welding skins on crap

that style roof the trim ring is riveted to the mooroof track , so first you drill out the rivets . then free the track from the roof use heat, scraper s ,etc . as far as glue ,use silicone and brackets round the edges
